My name is Mike Sheridan, and I love tech!
Since I was about 5 years old, I have been completely invested in computers and technology. My father got me an Atari 2600 and a Commodore 64, and from that moment on, I was hooked!
After a while, I started to wonder how these magic boxes that let me control the little man on the screen worked. Armed with only a screwdriver, I started taking these magic machines apart, and learning how they worked, then managed to (mostly!) get them back together and working!
Later in life, we got our first “real” computer, and, naturally, I couldn’t let that go without learning how it worked either. With my dad’s help, we put in a sound card, a new modem, and some memory. But that wasn’t enough. I later found out how to reinstall the software using recovery disks. Needless to say, my dad was not a fan of that one bit. That’s when I learned “take backups and take them often!”
As time went by, technology evolved, and I grew up. I continued learning, learning and learning. Not only being up on my computer through all hours of the night, but taking things apart, fixing friends’ issues, and saving my school’s IT department from having to come troubleshoot the computers in the computer lab.
As I got into the real world, my passion never died. I continue to work on electronics, both old and new, and continue sharpening my skills to provide the best service I possibly can!
Born and Raised on Long Island in New York, I moved out to Crystal Lake, IL in 2024 where I live with my two daughters and my beautiful wife.
